Dudhi Halwa (Bottle Gourd Halwa)
Dudhi Halwa (Bottle Gourd Halwa) is quick and easy made sweet. Dudhi no halwo is one of famous Gujarati Thali sweet.
Ingredients
- 500 gm Bottle gourd
- 5 tbsp Desi Ghee
- 150 gm Sugar
- 1 cup Milk
- 150 gm Mawa
- ½ tsp Cardamom powder
- 1 tbsp Almonds (Chopped)
- 1 tbsp Cashew nuts (Chopped)
Instructions
Wash, peel and grate the bottle gourd.
Take 2 tbsps ghee in a pan and roast grated bottle gourd in it at slow flame till ghee separates.
Add milk and sugar in it and stir well for 5 minutes.
Then add mawa and 1 tbsp ghee in it and stir slowly till 5 minutes.
Now add cardamom powder, almonds and cashew nuts mix well.
Remove from flame.
Halwa is ready for serve.
Keep it at room temperature for 2 days or in freeze for 5-6 days.
Notes
You can add milk cream instead of mawa in halwa.
