Shrikhand is popular homemade yogurt recipe. It is one of popular festival sweet. Even it used as deserts also. Shrikhand serves with Roti or Puri. There are many variety of shrikhand like mango shrikhand, kesar shrikhand, ice-cream shrikhand, rajbhog shrikhand etc.
Shrikhand
Shrikhand is actually Maharastrian Sweet/ Desert, but during summer or festival, shrikhand become part of Gujarati thali. It is easy to made delicious sweet.
Ingredients
- 500 gm Yogurt (fresh curd)
- 400 gm powder sugar
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- 7-8 saffron strands
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp Pistachio
Instructions
Hang fresh yogurt up to 4-5 hour. It also called Chakka.
Take 1 tbsp milk in a bowl.
Dissolve saffron strands in it.
Mix it well. Keep a side.
Then add sugar in yogurt (Chakka).
Beat very well till it become very smooth.
Now add cardamom powder in it.
Mix well and add saffron milk in it.
Stir it properly.
Garnish with pistachio.
Keep it in refrigerate at 4-5 hour before serve.
Serve with roti and puri.
Notes
Add more suger to make it more sweeter.
